From then until now: A look at Detroit’s 80-year corruption

While Kwame Kilpatrick will be remembered as a corrupt politician, he’s not the only one in the Motor City with a bad rap. Fox 2’s Charlie LeDuff reports on the corrupt characters of Detroit’s past.

Detroit’s corruption did not begin 40 years ago under the leadership of Coleman A. Young – the corruption began long before that, and spans across white, black, republican and democratic leaders.

Over the past 80 years, five Detroit mayors and four county executives have either been sent to prison, were the subjects of federal probes, or were removed from office.
