#ScienceOnMusicSERIES: The Peanut Gallery – Deep Thoughts Single Review

By SUNEZ #SkillastratorLO   The #PowerWrite

The #InvisibleRenaissance, a resurgence of Hip Hop where Boom Bap survived its appropriation by the white pop-ulace into a diluted cliché that holds all the principles with no sacrifice for their upholding. Or as a pseudo-retro from hipsters who will redefine what it supposedly ought to have always been.  All while they tell you this diluted version, often hard hitting breaks but an acceptable Soul and merely battle lyrics or self-involved angst as opposed to warrior fight bars and all involved ideas the Black/Brown and downtrodden reveal.

This #InvisibleRenaissance survived and thrives on after those #DarkAges despite the appropriation and all its other industry induced ills. So now the vast majority of the revolutionary progressive and the dangerously dynamic are hidden. The weakest of songs are heard because simplicity is the new ill, the junkie is the illegal life and that ol’ soft ass angst is now the way to express oneself.

So much tough stuff from New Jersey as Constant Flow or the insightfully comedic ruggedness of Rugged-N-Raw there still are brothers coming out paper thin as Peanut Gallery.  On “Deep Thoughts,” they speak about dealing with racism but how can there be a care for that when their suffering lack of love for their Art is what they earn here.  A monotony of flow to deliberately make the verses be a continuous hook–one rhythm, only one to remember. Repeat, Re-sale.  The track with b-movie drama strings and the triple tap snare claps nominate it as superb only in the Casio keyboard world, a snare coffined capsule of how Hip Hop can have no edge.  As

As oppression becomes less the silent war and more the overt apocalypse, Black brothers just playing Arthur to relay angst is a waste. A waste that reveals nothing of the skill levels of the MCs, if any, with a poppish take that only luck with payola can stream to the airwaves.

The organization of these principles around a counterculture, an expressive arts of creation that uplifts the ideas and thoughts of an oppressed people, is why I’m an honored builder amongst legends, knighted by heroes of Medina (Rakim Supreme Shabazz Allah/Rudy Lo, Thirstin Howl the 3rd, Bonz Malone) to further create in my element as a Hip Hop Writer of #ArtOnArt & #ScienceOnMusic. So the world may find love that locks in with the action of loyalty though they may never find another writer with my kind of grammar…
