Unless you slept through the past few days, chances are you heard about the once-mighty lyricist Canibus doing the unthinkable: Pulling out a professional writing pad during a freestyle battle. The battle was a fail on so many levels: For one, ‘Bis showed up with stitches in his head and rockin’ a sling like he had just been beaten up the previous day. by STEVEN J. HOROWITZ Beastie Boys’ MCA, born Adam Yauch, has passed away at the age of 47. GlobalGrind.com was the first to report his death, andTMZ has confirmed with several sources close to the rapper that he has indeed died. The emcee, producer and guitarist was diagnosed with a cancerous parotid gland and a lymph node in 2009. It is unclear if his death is related to his battle with cancer. He underwent surgery and radiation therapy, which delayed the group’s album and tour.
