STARVIN B & DJ M-1 - CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE EP ReviewBy SUNEZ #SkillastratorLO The #PowerWrite

Wicked winners without wit

Wildin while we writers whipping wonder with wisdom  worn,

Waging war with whimpering weaklings with warped weeping waiting,

Watching wakes whilst waiving

 Wrecking western world’s walls.

Endless writing unread in the #RespectFAKE parades that march daily, day to sight,  night with blight, a frivolous spectacle where the successful imitation of skill is real and the real struggle of the abnormally gifted isn’t cherished. So many filled with the meals of creation are starving.  There must be some way they can be appreciated more so.  Choose Your Own Adventure, one of the greats of this era, Starvin B, brings a fleeing six song work that is one of the most immediate proofs of MCing’s addictive power. Ireland’s DJ M-1 drops sharp scratches through clean, thumping drums with minimalist high hat, snares with the right alternating knock that all allow Starvin to immediately dive into a flow contnuity that never wavers. The level of refinement in Starvin’s abilities is extraordinary. When “Cash Type” livens with the cymbal crashes in the distance as high hats, the chorus bleeds into the verses effortlessly. There are no gaps in his cadence yet there are no slows or halts to recuperate. The peaks of smooth displays of intense breath control are the jewel of the EP.

An MC, known for the charismatic every man doing savagery, thinking righteously is always a writer of the principles. The principles of the music but also the observation of humanity beyond the surface aspect of a ghetto pessimist. “I Want It All” captures the pondering Starvin does with select mental portraits he tales.  The commentary of and on the real extends to metaphor as on the baseball lade. “Inside The Park” into the powerful “Science” that begins as battle bars and reaches deeper into ethics and their rarity in this digital ghetto hell we engage in.  Starvin B has no flaws as an MC. There is. I greater potential he ever needs to reach. His talent is evident against any of the four decades of recorded Hip Hop, 80s through 10s, and his every next work need only be listened to for the brilliance of performance, MCing artwork.

Warison wail!

What’s wearisome warfare worth we warriors?

Wield wrath,

weigh wushu wordlore

writing writ.

The organization of these principles around a counterculture, an expressive arts of creation that uplifts the ideas and thoughts of an oppressed people, is why I’m an honored builder amongst legends, knighted by heroes of Medina (Rakim Supreme Shabazz Allah/Rudy Lo, Thirstin Howl the 3rd, Bonz Malone) to further create in my element as a Hip Hop Writer of #ArtOnArt & #ScienceOnMusic. So the world may find love that locks in with the action of loyalty though they may never find another writer with my kind of grammar…
