All white people are from Egypt. All Black people are from themselves. We, people who are darker than blue are from the mind, rooted all over that Africa root and to all our world. But the foundations of all the western world from all those sciences and arts to them dammed yankees are from those Egyptian–that is the Black people of Kemit.
And two thousand years later and countless indigenous genocides and massive slave trade passed, we still gotta uplift ourselves. We are kings and queens, never just ole farmers with dreams, that gotta just motivate out of this mess.
I get that shit but I see the shot falling with low percentages. Too many bricks from exaggerated walls of sound can blind one to their own armaments. You can’t erase all that hell with triangled flowers of the past. And so we need more than daily motivations, another spectrum of the endless ploys on our emotions. And the people will tire and tomorrow they will need the caffeining aphorisms of lazy prose.
And in lives that have barely passed two decades, now we got self help media of all sorts. Newlywed couples writing books on making marriages last. Criminals giving tips on the legal hustles. Bad musicians giving notes on making notes. It’s a collision of sincere branding of the highest ignorance and a #RespectFAKE circus.
I’ve spent more than half of my years with the elders, the older Gods, the elder teachers, the wise old Sigung, to learn to share, be a poor righteous teacher. In my own twenties, that sacrifice meant not sharing all those feel good boosters but the actual facts.
And so before I even hear the track I see a young brother named King Gheno. That’s peace but will he be King. Does he got the ever growing self awareness of himself and the people to really spit that wisdom? He say his done so. That they, “Brain train tracks are meditation tracks that are strategically crafted with affirmation to retrain the subconscious mind. The hypnotic hip-hop beats will help to put the listener in a receptive state that will then allow the listeners subconscious to receive the affirmation that are in the song.” Word is bond! Bad music ain’t never had the right to have so much responsibility. This is what lots of Hip Hop does counter culturally. But as premeditated strategy and with illness? There’s really only one KRS-One and a few more.
Musically, Gheno can’t keep me receptive at all. Its It’s a typical droning trap mess and his choruses are as laughably melodic as any multicolored hair coon we know ruining music for the white man, the special 10%, the daily doers out of the 1 percent. Brother, if sounds keep a melody it don’t make it music. And adding a right phrase repeated ad nauseam don’t make it a song. Today there is such a propagandized call for seeing today’s performers as eclectic artists because they can then be a mesh of genres without any of the proofs of skill or talent any of them demand. I love Hip Hop with content. That’s the peak of the music. But it’s got to be good or its it’s just a preachy hustle. Who the fuck wants to be hustled?! Is today’s sold music for our people literally going to be recorded mouth doodles? And then justify those 3 bars as understanding as positive affirmations? The oppressors’ clockwork orange rewound still won’t ever tell our time, brother.
#LOVEandLOYALTY A #LoLife
The organization of these principles around a counterculture, an expressive arts of creation that uplifts the ideas and thoughts of an oppressed people, is why I’m an honored builder amongst legends, knighted by heroes of Medina (Rakim Supreme Shabazz Allah/Rudy Lo, Thirstin Howl the 3rd, Bonz Malone) to further create in my element as a Hip Hop Writer of #ArtOnArt & #ScienceOnMusic. So the world may find love that locks in with the action of loyalty though they may never find another writer with my kind of grammar…
